Also needed a hood and new AC lines.
Picked up a grille and the soft top in Chicago, a hood in LaPorte. Previous owner already got the RF fender. Local body shop painted my parts - and there she is! Complete with a set of new Jeep take-off wheels and tires - 1' thick wheel adapters needed to adapt the bolt pattern but that extra 2" of width improves the stability.

Started with a very clean original Alabama truck that had one repaint in white.
A couple of body progress to keep you in the mood. Rocker panels were not real bad - but once its this far along why use any bondo. A few minor floor patches.

Only 86,000 original miles! 6cyl., automatic with Air. Nice clean interior too.
Taking things apart is always easy. With this all opened up, what better time to replace the water pump, belts and idlers?
NOTE THE NICE CLEAN CONDITION OF THE FRAME HORNS.
Given the condition of the original grille - it needed a new radiator and A/C Condenser.
